City Slicker or Country Boy?

There is something about Charlotte that excites me like a kid getting a new toy- or these days a video game. It's like there is a vibe or some type of energetic feeling I get when I go to Charlotte. I don't know where it came from but I have always loved the big city and especially the lights from the towers ever since I can remember. When I was a kid- we would take trips to Charlotte to see my sisters.... and whenever we went through the city- I was glued to the window. I just thought it was simply amazing. There have been many times since I have moved close to Charlotte when I would be at a restaurant eating or even sitting in a parking lot in a complete daze- thinking about how cool it is to be living around the Charlotte area. It's like deju vu. I love being around the city because there is so much you can do. When I lived in the country I had to set aside a whole day if I needed to come to Charlotte for anything. Now don't get me wrong, I love the country too- there is something about living in the country that everybody should experience. There is so much peacefulness and quietness that it's very relaxing. I can remember there were times when I would get off work and would drive all the way to Charlotte just to buy a CD. I just had a feeling of.... this is where I belong or this is where I need to be. I would even buy a condo uptown if I could afford it but I would also love to have a nice home in Lilesville with a few hundred acres of land.... Wouldn't that be nice if we could have our cake and eat it too. Now that I have accomplished living around Charlotte my next goal is going to be a little harder to achieve. I want to go to the top of the Bank of America tower and look out the window at the city lights. There is even a restaurant at the top floor of one of these buildings I want to go to but you better be dressed in a suit and a pocket full of cash or either ready to pay off a few hundred for a meal on your credit card. Think I'm crazy........ well I don't . I'm just living a vision I've had since I was a child. I have always heard... never give up on your dreams.... no matter how big or small your dreams are.. just reach for the sky.
