First of all...Happy Fathers Day to all the dads. I have a story in the works for the one and only Pearl Bunn... the best dad in the world... but for now, I thought I'd share something else with you. A few days ago, Shelly asked me if I had a hard time with Fathers Day since my dad passed away. My answer, no... and the reason? You see... dad wasn't just a Fathers Day dad, he was a year round dad. Do I miss my dad on Fathers Day? You better believe it... but I miss him year round just as much as I miss him on Fathers Day. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about dad and some of the crazy names he would be calling me when I tease with him. Nowadays... as I sit here starring into this monitor, I think about what life would be like if he were still here. At the time of his passing I was 19 years old... and now I'm 33. You know, there is so much I could tell you about dad but if I told you everything, I would never finish. There is one thing though...dad was more of a father than a son could ever ask for. His legacy lives deep within my heart and I will never forget that man for as long as I live.
