In search of the sun

I've been saving these shots for a rainy day and what-do-ya-know. It's raining!

I don't know about your neck of the woods but here in Matthews NC, it has mostly been either overcast or rainy for the last month or two. Too many days like this and your mood starts to go down to the dumps. I'm definitely looking forward to some sun rays. Right about now is when I really start to crave warm weather. For some reason to me it seems normal having cold weather during the holiday seasons but now that there all over, I'm ready for spring.

Last summer I took a few shots of the sky when I noticed there were bundles of clouds all around. I can look at these shots and almost feel the warmth of summer on my skin. Oh I'm so looking forward to summer time.

Hopefully these shots will shine some warmth down if you've been missing the sun like I have.

A dogs life

There is one thing for sure, this dog knows how to make my heart melt.

Never a dull moment

It looks as if Ralph the squirrel has made the leap of how to get to the birds food that hovers about 4 feet above the side rail of our porch! There is hardly ever a dull moment around here!

For some reason I get the feeling that ole Ralph here is not holding his mouth thinking ... Oh my goodness, what have I done. I'm sure it's more of a mumbled high speed crunch sound from eating the seeds for the birds!

If this is how it's gonna be then at least they know how to share!

BUSTED !!! And we thought the flowers were crooked because of winter!

Boy I tell ya, there cute as buttons but they can tear some stuff up. I'd love to have a pet squirrel but if they can climb a tree at lightning speeds then they can split your finger open at lightning speeds.

Our new security guard

We have us a new security guard here at Bunns cabin of bliss! He's something else. I don't know how good this guy will work but all we have to do is keep the bird feeder full. Yep! This crazy squirrel has managed to get up on the bird feeder that is swinging on the ceiling of our porch.
