The Hi-Beam theory

Why is it that when you are driving down a dark country road with your low beam lights on, you hardly ever have any oncoming traffic but just as soon as you hit the hi beams... a dadgum car will be coming around the next corner. It really trips me out... I mean... there have been times when I do it just for fun and it always works. I can drive for 30 minutes straight and never see anybody... but as soon as I turn my hi beam lights on a car pops out of nowhere. It's amazing how that works. Hey I just thought of something.... if you read on down a few stories, you will find one that says... Alone on 742. I think I just found the missing link to that story. I should have turned my hi beam lights on. Good grief... I can't believe I didn't think about it that night.
