A Charlie Brown Christmas

I sure hope you were able to catch the Charlie Brown Christmas that was on last Tuesday night. This is my favorite Christmas show along with Frosty the Snowman, The Grinch and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. These cartoons mean so much to me. Shelly loves to watch them too so every year we anxiously wait for these cartoons to come on. Unfortunately, this year I was in class during the time it was aired. Thanks goodness for a VCR and yes you heard me right.... I said VCR. I don't watch enough television to have tivio (however the heck you spell it) hooked up. What a special night though.....when I got home from work Shell melt said.... I have the perfect plan...let's grab a bite to eat, come back home and watch our Christmas cartoons. The cartoons were Charlie Brown Christmas, Shrek the Halls which was actually really good... and The Grinch. When we got home we lit the fireplace, made some coffee and sat down to watch some of our favorite Christmas cartoons. What a special cozy night. I am so glad this cartoon still gets aired. Doesn't it give you a warm fuzzy feeling inside when Linus stands up and reads Luke 2: 8-14. If you don't know then ... allow me to share:

8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 8And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

If you missed the show then worry no more, sit back, relax and enjoy. The ole bunny has it all worked out for you.

  1. I am so glad you love the Christmas shows like I do and that we can start our own family tradition of watching them together each year. You are the best husband ever!
