As you may already know, I have been on the look out for a part time job since I quit Vulcan. I got hired by Autobell but after talking with a few employees and the guys that hired me, I quickly found out how they really do things around there. The location was perfect. With me having a love for being around the big city of Charlotte, Autobell was within a few blocks away from uptown but it just did not work out. I was a man about it and told them face to face that I could not work like they wanted me to work. So I quit. I really hated to do that because I know that I'm a really hard worker-even if I'm doing something I really don't care to be doing. My parents raised me to be honest in everything I do and to make sure I work like I'm suppose to.
After a couple of weeks went by, I was getting a little bummed and started thinking maybe I should have stuck it out. You know.... if I would've continued working for them, then I probably wouldn't be able to give you the exciting news. I got a call from a place here in Matthews called Cycle Gear. I went in to talk to the guy and was completely blown away by what was offered to me. First of all, Cycle Gear is a retail store that has been going since the 70's. Cycle Gear came to Matthews around 3 years ago and sells .... exactly what it's called.... motorcycle gear. You can get things like tubes, tools, lubricants and many other accessories you might need. So I was talking to the guy and told him my schedule and he then told me about the position I applied for. Talk about a huge blessing from the Lord.... my hours are 10am-4pm Monday-Friday. No weekends. I almost hugged the guy when he said that. I had such a weight lifted from my shoulders. This means I will have time to study and complete my school work and I can also continue with my photography work. After my interview he sent me straight up town for drug testing...how cool is that.... The funny part is when they told me it was going to be a hair sample for the testing. I wish you could have seen the look on the girls face when she saw me. She even asked me if I realized she was gonna have to take some hair. I just grinned and thru my leg on the table and said... have all you want. Good thing I had enough hair on my legs because she had to get 4 samples. My poor ole head would have been all gaped up.With all of that being said, it is official. The test are back and I'm in the system. One more thing, my job is called a merchandiser. All I have to do is put invoice numbers in the computer and keep the shelves stocked. This is just fabulous...Well, I guess I better close this down and get to bed... gotta go to work in the morning.
I am so glad that you got the job that fit all your needs. God is good and you are a witness to me by showing me how much you trust in Him. Congrats on the awesome job and blessing.
