I can't believe it...we made it through a weekend without having a terrible waiter or waitress. I don't know what the deal is but it seems like Shelly and I have something marked all over us saying something like... we hate to get waited on or big tip for the worst service. There is a restaurant that I really like to eat at in Monroe called Napoli's. They have about anything you could possible want. There were a few times when we would go there, we noticed the service was a little slow. Well about a month ago we went back for some grub and winded up walking out. Shelly made the first statement and when either the manager or the head honcho stood up... I finished it. Boy it felt good to have a good meaning to be pissed off at someone. Hey - we were just sick and tired of that crap. We sat there and sat there and no one said anything. No drinks no nothing until a couple sat down behind us 10 mins later and the chick was on them immediately.
A week or two later we decided to eat at Logans steakhouse in Monroe and we almost walked out of that place. The only reason we didn't was because Shelly was going through this thing she calls P.M. S ing... and she wants nachos supreme.... man... so she got up and got a waiter and I thought a good smart comment would be much appropriate. I just don't get these freaking sorry slack young guns that can't pay attention to there tables or any other job. Sorriness is a huge pet peeve of mine. I cannot stand laziness or sorriness.
With all that being said... I am happy to inform you that Shelly and I had a super good weekend worth of good customer service. In fact, I seen a few things that actually blew me away. Think about this now.... knowing that you will more than likely get a better tip if you keep up with your tables- why in the dadgum world wouldn't you give it your best. It doesn't hurt to be nice.
AMEN!!! If it isn't sorry service, it is a screaming child every time. Am I right??
ReplyDeleteyou are right!....but when customers want to be complete @ssholes even when your nice to them or not and even when you kiss butt you end up getting stiffed anyway....it sucks being a waitress sometimes trust me i know.
