Morning Thoughts

I was on my way to work the other morning, jamming to a CD ( as always ) and I begin to zone out a little... I started thinking about all the situations we have to go through in this journey we call life. In this life we have to face adversity as well as rejoicing over our best accomplishments or achievements that you are so proud of. What I mean is you could be having the best of times - life couldn't be any better, but at the same time there is someone who is going through the most tragic stage in their life. You could be happy.. but there is someone who is sad and depressed. In this life there is good and evil, pros and cons, happiness and sorrow and so on... you get my point. I really don't know how to explain it, but it just blows my mind when I think about it. We think we go through hard times but what we really experienced was more than likely, just an inconvenience. When things do get a little tough and we struggle to make ends meet, there is always someone whose situation is much worse. Listen up now, I'm not saying we don't go through really hard times, cause we do - I'm simply saying there is always someone going through something worse. For example- Shelly has been on vacation for about a week and I was really starting to miss her and was longing for her to come back home... but at the same time, I thought about my cousin who is serving his duty in Iraq which is around a year, while his wife and three kids are at home waiting for his return. See what I mean now. Memorial Day weekend I witnessed my niece getting married- where nothing but good times were flowing that day, only to learn a few days later my sister was taken to the hospital for breathing complications. It is easy to feel like life is unfair but what can we do. I wish so bad I had the powers to make everything better but I don't. Christ is the only answer I have to that. The only other thing we can do is simply endure. Before I go... ever seen the movie- The pursuit of happyness. If you haven't seen it then I highly recommend it. Hard to imagine but even though his situation was pretty bad, it could have been much worse.
