Surprised... well I am! I was just laying in bed thinking... now why in the world have I not set aside some time each week to do some good ole writing. It just seems like no matter how hard I try, I keep passing the bunny show off to another day.
I tell ya... I thought things were gonna settle down a bit after I graduated. Boy was I ever wrong! I mean I don't have no where near the stress but it's the whole... "trying to find your way in this world" thing that has me so looped out.
Let me put it to you this way. Try researching an entirely different and new career path, then get all your crap together and start marching in that new direction that you've never been before. Any and all information is all on your shoulders to find and figure out. Ad this suck-hole economy that we're having into the mix while you're at it.
I'm here to tell you... those are not good combination's to have going at the same time. If you're lucky enough to have a spouse that will help you in your journey than that's a little better, but if you're on your on, then get ready for a few bumps in the road.
Now let me rewind a little, I'm not throwing off on my wife. She supports me all the way, but interested... nah!
So as of now, I have learned that in order for you to "make it" out in the "real world" you have to make sure all then in's are in, and all the out's are out. You're responsible for every litte detail. It's a good feeling when things work out nice but it's kinda sucky when things don't work out at all. We're talking about something you're trying to build for income here... not just a preference in something.
Anyways... there's my little rant.
It's almost 2:30 in the morning and I am still wide awake. For one thing, I'm a bonafide night owl and the other is I just have things on my mind. It's almost funny when I think about what I'm doing. I am super proud of myself with some of the things I've accomplished so far... and I know it's gonna get better. But to go from spending all of my time outside on bikes to spending all my time in the house on a computer is not what I thought I'd be doing 5 years ago.
One thing is for sure. I love what I'm doing. And can't get enough of it. With technology, things are constantly changing and if you wanna stay in the game, you've gotta keep up with what's new and what's hot.
Goodness, I should try getting at least a little sleep...
